To celebrate World Engineering Day 2024, Engineers Australia is holding a series of networking events in Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane, Perth and Adelaide from 21 February to 4 March.

This Wednesday, it was Melbourne’s turn to host an event, with engineers from all sectors of the industry gathering to share ideas and enjoy the hospitality.

Among those attending was Acmena Senior Consultant Yanan Li along with Silpa Pulindundla and Rachel Goh.

“It was a really great evening,” said Senior Systems and Safety Assurance Consultant, Silpa Puligundla.

“Everyone that attended was happy to share ideas and discuss areas of interest within their own disciplines and industries.

“We were fortunate to talk to a lot of knowledgeable people who shared insights on a variety of subjects including infrastructure projects, product design and systems engineering processes.

“One of the most interesting subjects for me was ideas around the adoption of sustainable engineering practices that will help us develop projects in a way that will be less harmful to the environment.”
