Acmena is delighted to announce the appointment of Principal Systems and Safety Assurance Consultant, Andreas Konstantinou, to the Sydney office.

Specialising in safety, RAMS and verification and validation, Andreas offers over 17 years’ experience in the international rail industry.

Having previously worked on the Dubai Metro, Doha Metro, Cairo Monorail projects, in addition to major upgrade works across the London Metro network, Andreas offers proven ability in both leading and supporting safety and systems assurance programs on complex, large-scale projects.

Andreas also offers considerable experience in the deployment of key rail systems, including signalling, communications, platform screen doors, rollingstock, stations and tunnels.

A highly capable engineer, Andreas offers proven skill in a diverse range of safety and RAMS processes, including safety integrity level assessment, safety case development, HAZID/HAZOP in addition to RAM prediction, reliability block diagrams and modelling and simulation.

He is also experienced in developing rail systems in compliance with CENELEC standards EN 50126, 50128 and 50129.

Andreas will be supporting projects in both New South Wales and Queensland.
