Acmena is delighted to announce the return of David Kaltmann to its Melbourne office.

David is a systems engineer, specialising in requirements management and verification and validation. He originally joined the company in 2019 and was part of the team supporting the Caulfield to Dandenong Level Crossing Removal project and the Metro Tunnel Melbourne.

Returning to Acmena after a brief spell providing software development support for the Metro Tunnel project, David will be lending his expertise in verification and validation to the Cross River Rail – Rail, Systems and Integration (RIS) project as it enters its final stages.

“I’m excited to be back at Acmena and contributing to V&V on Cross River Rail,” David said. “It’s great to be joining such a strong rail team again, and I’m looking forward to bringing across lessons from my time on the recently opened Metro Tunnel Project.”

“It’s great to have David back onboard,” said Acmena Managing Director and Victoria State Manager, Mike Bruce. “His skills and experience as a systems engineer will be a big asset to the Cross River Rail project where he will be working alongside Frances Xiao, who also returned to Acmena this year.

“It is fantastic to see both David and Frances rejoin the team. Not only because they are excellent engineers and great people to work with, but because it is a testament to the positive working culture we have developed at Acmena where former staff members are drawn back to the company and feel welcome to return.

“The team is looking forward to working with David again, and I am excited to see him apply what he has learned over the last few years to the project. Welcome back, David.”
