Offering expertise across the full project lifecycle, he has a proven track record of delivering human factors integration, assurance, and usability solutions for major Australian rail, infrastructure and signalling projects.
James’ human factors skill set spans usability evaluation, task and human error analysis, and stakeholder engagement. He also has a demonstrated ability to lead human factors workshops, gather and synthesise end-user feedback, and produce HF assurance deliverables that support robust safety cases.
Working previously with both Transport for NSW and Sydney Trains, James has contributed to some of New South Wales’ most significant rail and infrastructure programs — including Sydney Metro, the Transport Accessibility Program, More Trains, More Services, and Morisset Re-Signalling.
He is skilled in embedding human factors into engineering design processes and safety assurance frameworks, ensuring that end-user needs, regulatory requirements, and operational performance are all considered from concept through to delivery.
