With strong capability in planning and leading SESA programs for complex projects, Ricky offers valuable experience in managing multi-discipline teams through the full project lifecycle to deliver successful outcomes.

His technical expertise spans requirements management, systems integration, architecture development, verification and validation, change management, and process development and monitoring. He is highly proficient in IBM Rational DOORS, DOORS Next Generation, DXL, IBM Rhapsody, and MagicDraw, and applies SysML modelling to develop robust functional architectures for complex engineering programs.

Currently serving as Systems Engineering and Safety Assurance (SESA) Lead on the Logan to Gold Coast Faster Rail project, Ricky is responsible for the full delivery of SESA activities across the Alliance — from configuration management through to coordination with Queensland Rail on regulatory compliance. He is also responsible for ensuring the suitability of SESA processes to deliver project requirements and integrate with other disciplines within the project, including design and construction.

Prior to this, Ricky spent nearly seven years on the Cross River Rail – RIS Alliance as Systems Engineering Manager and Requirements Lead, where he established the project-wide requirements management framework in DOORS Next, developed the SysML modelling framework in MagicDraw, and led end-to-end systems engineering from design through construction and testing.

Core to Ricky’s experience is not only the understanding of systems engineering process and methodologies but the adaptation and application of these processes in differing engineering environments. Ricky has successfully developed systems engineering process for major organisations and ensured their deployment through training, mentoring and application.
