Acmena Principal Consultant and human factors specialist, Daniel Simmons, will feature as a panellist at the Designing for Human Use industry panel on Thursday 26 August.

Hosted by the UTS Engineering Society and the Human Factors and Ergonomics Society of Australia (HFESA) and targeted at students and graduates, the online event will feature a range of panellists offering insight into their industry experience as human factors and ergonomics (HFE) professionals. Attendees will also have the opportunity to participate in a breakout room activity where they will be challenged to identify and solve a HFE problem.

Specialising in human-centred design, with over 10 years’ experience supporting the development of products and systems for the rail, healthcare and defence industries, Daniel is looking forward to working with up-and-coming engineers and sharing some of his expertise.

“I’m really pleased to have the opportunity to share some insight into how human factors can make a difference on design projects,” said Daniel. “It’s a great initiative and should provide a valuable learning experience.”

The Designing for Human Use panel will be conducted via Zoom (https://zoom.uts.edu.au/j/83447786008) between 7-8pm and is free to attend.
