He offers proven capability in requirements management, hazard analysis, SFAIRP safety case development, FMECA and verification and validation and has contributed his expertise to several major rail infrastructure programs across Queensland, the ACT and South Australia.

Dinesh’s technical scope encompasses signalling, interlocking, station control and communications, platform screen systems, emergency shutdown systems and centralised control systems (OMCS) — giving him a well-rounded understanding of the safety-critical systems that underpin modern rail operations.

He is currently engaged on Cross River Rail as a systems assurance engineer, responsible for developing safety assurance plans, safety cases, RAM assessment reports and risk analyses for the Southern Area. His work spans hazard identification, safety-in-design workshops, SFAIRP argumentation, hazard log management in IBM DOORS, and the transfer of residual risks to the operator — all delivered in compliance with relevant standards and in close collaboration with multidisciplinary project teams and stakeholders.

Dinesh has previously delivered systems engineering and safety assurance support across multiple rail programs, including Gold Coast Light Rail Stage 3 where he performed RAMS analysis across a wide range of communications and signalling systems — including CCTV, public announcement, passenger information display, AVLS, PMCS, EHT and TETRA — and conducted FMECA on interlocking and emergency shutdown systems, contributing to the safety assurance report and full hazard closure.

On Canberra Light Rail he worked across three separate packages (Depot Expansion, LRV Onboard and the 2A Central Control System), providing requirements management, hazard log management, safety-in-design workshops, FMECA, SFAIRP safety statements and human factors issues register management across both design and testing and commissioning phases.

He also provided requirements management and V&V support on the ARTC Advanced Train Management System and the Gawler Rail Electrification Project in South Australia.
