His core expertise spans RAMS planning and demonstration, FMECA, FRACAS, HAZOP, root cause analysis, functional safety, defects management and risk assessment across train control, signalling, communications and platform screen door systems. Manpreet also has experience in providing assurance for advanced train control, signalling and communications systems, including Automatic Train Protection (ATP), Automatic Train Operation (ATO) and Communications Based Train Control (CBTC).

He is currently engaged on Cross River Rail as part of the Rail, Integration and Systems package, where he is responsible for developing and maintaining key safety assurance deliverables including systems safety assurance plans, safety cases, RAM assessment reports and risk analyses — all delivered in accordance with CENELEC standards EN 50126, EN 50128 and EN 50129.

On Cross River Rail, Manpreet leads hazard identification (HAZID), safety controls and actions for system design, and manages project requirements, hazard logs and control measures in IBM DOORS Next. He is responsible for conducting risk assessments and safety analyses for stations, identifying residual risks and coordinating the transfer of responsibility for those risks to the operator in line with SFAIRP principles. He also facilitates safety in design workshops and collaborates with stakeholders across all phases of project development to ensure safety requirements are fully integrated.

Previously involved with the Doha Metro, Lusail Light Rail and Dubai Metro projects, Manpreet has considerable experience in supporting the deployment and maintenance of safety-critical systems in complex, large-scale rail infrastructure developments.
